The client had no existing web presence and needed to establish one quickly ahead of growing competition in the area. The site needed to feel personal and inviting rather than generic, support online ordering through their existing Toast POS integration, and be simple enough for a small restaurant team to manage on their own.
TWT built a fully custom WordPress child theme using hand-coded PHP templates and ACF field groups — avoiding page builders entirely for a faster, cleaner result. The menu is powered by a custom post type with category taxonomy, allowing Holly to add, edit, and feature items directly from the WordPress admin. The home page dynamically pulls featured specials from the menu, so highlighted dishes update automatically. Online ordering links directly to the restaurant's Toast storefront, and a WPForms contact form routes inquiries to the restaurant's Gmail inbox.
The site launched on schedule and was well-received by the client. Holly noted the design captured the feel of the restaurant immediately. With the menu management system in place, the team can update prices, add seasonal items, and rotate featured specials without any outside help. The Toast integration removed friction from the online ordering flow, directing guests straight to their existing POS storefront.
